Ted A. Gillespie is a multidisciplinary artist whose work threads emotional urgency with symbolic disruption. Rooted in personal reflection and social commentary, Gillespie’s mixed media compositions transform everyday materials—glass shards, tools, textiles, text—into provocative statements on power, trauma, and survival. His practice spans painting, sculpture, and assemblage, often tackling themes of resilience, cultural identity, and the unseen consequences of policy and ideology. Based in the U.S., Gillespie’s vision is international, seeking dialogue across borders and pushing viewers into discomfort with radical empathy.
